Volunteering at Alabaré

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our work here at Alabaré - we couldn't do what we do without you.

Across England and Wales, specifically across the south and the south-west, hundreds of volunteers dedicate their time to our services for homeless adults, young people, veterans and those with learning disabilities.

Perhaps you could help at one of our houses where we care for the homeless or look after adults with learning disabilities. You may be able to teach how to cook nutritious food. Do you like art? An afternoon painting with the clients can be a very rewarding time. Are you a keen gardener? A few hours tending to flower beds and lawns can make all the difference and if we encourage clients to get out and help weed then all the better!

Our volunteers also help at our fantastic charity events as well as being a crucial part of our retail teams, central services and fundraising activities.

To start consider the roles below and then if you have questions reach out to Jo King below and have a chat about your aspirations, and how best we can support you while benefitting from your natural skills.
