Alabaré Social Enterprises

Our Boots on the Ground and Field Kitchen projects are designed to support the mental health of the veterans within Alabaré Homes for Veterans, or others connected with Alabaré within local communities.

Servicemen and women can struggle with several conditions that put them at an increased risk of homelessness such as depression, PTSD, ill health, unemployment, family or relationship breakdown when leaving the services which mean they may struggle to adapt to civilian life. The Field Kitchen will encourage training, employment and volunteering opportunities for our veterans in North Wales whilst our Boots on the Ground project will promote mental health through outdoor activities working with several partners including Keep Wales Tidy and The National Trust.

As a charity, we are committed to providing ways to support our veteran service users. These projects enable us to provide meaningful activity while at the same time improving mental health and wellbeing. Our Boots on the Ground Projects are currently running across North and South Wales and South West England and our Field Kitchen currently operate in North Wales with plans to expand to South Wales and across South West England.
