Our Alabaré Veterans Self-Build team are gearing up to start on the new Stirling House site in Plymouth next month.  Preparatory work is well underway on the site, and some of our veterans’ team have been helping to put up hoardings around the site.  Some have also been getting creative, painting pictures which will go up around the site perimeter during the build.

The Stirling House project sees us join forces with LiveWest and Plymouth City Council.   At least eight veterans who have previously been homeless will of become part our self-build scheme and will work alongside the team from Coyde Construction to gain skills and qualifications in the trade, all whilst helping to build homes that they will live in.

Our veteran self-builders have been getting to know one another prior to the build starting on a team building trip to Mount Edgecombe.  Some of the veterans are also taking up the opportunity to do some voluntary work as Rangers at the country park just outside Plymouth.

We look forward to the official launch of the Stirling House next month.
