The Big Sleep Is Back!
Brave fundraisers will have the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for Alabaré once again at The Big Sleep at Salisbury Cathedral.
On Friday 7th February 2020, participants will bed down for the night at the Cathedral Cloisters, supporting rough sleepers and those experiencing some form of homelessness in the local community.
Rebecca Mullen, Alabaré’s Fundraising and Development Manager says:
“By braving the cold for one night at Salisbury Cathedral Cloisters, participants will get a brief experience of what it is like to sleep rough, whilst raising funds for the most vulnerable and marginalised. This will enable Alabaré to help those facing this reality off of the streets for good.”
Whilst spending the night in the grounds of the cathedral, everyone who signs-up pledges to raise a minimum of £100 to help support Alabaré’s work in caring for the most vulnerable in our local community.
Alabaré's homes, drop-in centres and training facilities provide training and support to homeless and vulnerable people. Last year, Alabaré provided over 1,000 hot meals and emergency shelter to 110 rough sleepers during severe weather.
