Our New Bournemouth Young People's Service Is Officially Open!

Bournemouth house opening

Today we proudly marked the official opening of our two new homes for vulnerable young people in Bournemouth.

The homes will provide accommodation for up to nine care leavers and homeless young people aged 16-25.

Vanessa Bedford, our Operations Manager for Young People’s Services said;

“We are delighted to have officially opened our new service in Bournemouth. We want to be able to offer Young People in the area a home where they can have a new beginning. We will give them the time, safety and support they need to gain skills and confidence, and to go onto to live independent, fulfilling lives.”

The houses were officially opened by our Ambassador and retired barrister, Mr David Bartlett, who said;

“I am delighted that Alabaré have expanded into Bournemouth.  My work in this area has shown me that these homes, and the excellent support they provide, are very necessary, and will offer significant benefit many young people.”

We operate similar services for those aged 16-25 in both Hampshire and Wiltshire and supported 797 young people through our accommodation and drop-in services last year.
