We are excited to annouce the birth of three new baby boys; Leo, Ollie and Kaydon. They have now arrived safely back at our home for homeless and vulnerable mums and babies.

Our Mother & Baby home offers a home to six young mums and mums to be, aged between 16 and 25. Mothers are given the opportunity to participate in training courses and our team help young mothers learn the skills needed to care for their babies.

There are always lots of activities going on in the house including: cookery lessons, craft sessions, games nights and baby massage.

Maxine, manager of home for young mothers and their babies, explains that putting a roof over someone’s head is just the start of the help that Alabaré give:

“Young mums often come to us often with complex problems that have developed over a number of years. It costs £28 to provide the initial support that a mum to be receives when they come into our home.  From there we can help them work through their specific problems – no two people are the same, and no one’s situation is that straightforward. There will be ups and downs as together we build their skills, confidence and health to make sure they can look after their babies, and move on to a successful independent lives once more.”
