Mel Takes On The 3 Peaks Challenge!
On the 19th September our Care and Support Manager for Learning Disabilities and Mental Health, Mel Greenstock will be taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge!
Mel is aiming to climb Snowdon in Wales (which stands at 1085m), Scafell Pike, in England - a 978m trial, and Ben Nevis, in Scotland – their tallest challenge at 1344m. To complete the challenge she will need to do all of this in just 24 hours. This is an incredibly physically intensive challenge and Mel has been hard at work with her training schedule and has already completed a trial run of Mount Snowdon.
Mel is undertaking the challenge to raise money and awareness for our Learning Disability services. Through our homes and services we enable people to take control of their lives and live the life they choose. We offer long term supported accommodation, as well as a range of support and training opportunities to people in their own homes. We also have two training facilities – one in Old Sarum, Salisbury, and one nearby in Barford St Martin.
