Janet Herring Departs Alabaré

Janet Herring, our care and support director, stepped down from Alabaré today, having been working in the charity for 15 years.

During her time with Alabaré, she been involved in a vast array of initiatives within the charity including the Alabaré Place development, the growth of our work with people with learning disabilities and the recent successful outcome of the tendering of Alabaré’s work in Wiltshire with vulnerable young people and the homeless.

The best example of her work is her dedication to see our service users grow to ensure they have a fulfilling life.

Janet said;

"I am proud and privileged to have been a part of that change from the commencement of Supported Living with the first home of right through to the recent Wiltshire Council tenders that were won. I have loved Alabaré, loved the work that you do to make the difference in people’s lives, the care, compassion, generosity of self and the respect you have given."

Andrew Lord, Alabaré Chief Executive, commented;

"Over the 15 years Janet has been an incredible hard working and committed colleague, initially as a manager and for the last 5 years as the Care and Support Director. Everyone at Alabaré is sad to see Janet leave but wish her all the very best for the future."
