Gloucester To Jordan Expedition
We would like to say a huge thank you to Captain Robert Atchison from Imjin Barracks in Gloucester who is embarking on an incredible trip from Gloucester, United Kingdom to Jordan to raise awareness of the work that Alabaré do in supporting homeless and vulnerable Veterans in Gloucester.
Captain Atchison will be joined on this trip by Tina Connolly and Gareth Price as they make the epic journey of over 3,000 miles in their 2000 Land Rover Defender. Embarking on the 19th July, their three week expedition will take them right across Europe. They will journey through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Bulgaria and Turkey. They will then take a ferry across to Cyprus and then Israel and finally across to Amman in Jordan.
Captain Robert Atchison said;
"We are making this expedition to draw attention to Alabaré who are a key charity in supporting Veterans who have fallen on harder times. As a soldier myself I think it's important to remember that family and comrades I served with and also remember that sometimes when people do leave the forces, it doesn't always quite work out how you expect and Alabaré are a great charity in supporting them."
