Entrain Space - Building A Vibrant Community

Over the last seven years Alabaré has supported the development of Entrain Space, managed by Our Wilton Trust. It has been an initiative that has seen the former Erskine Barracks site in Wilton develop into 44 units of accommodation, predominately for veterans. The first residents moved in a year ago and a vibrant community established. With the initiative having established itself and having ambitious plans for the remainder of the site, the Alabaré Board of Trustees took the decision that it was a good time for Alabaré to withdraw its involvement.

Andrew Lord Chief Executive of Alabaré reflected “It has been great to be involved in the development in Wilton. A journey that saw the Veterans accommodation open last year. During the 7 years the highlights included the first bricks being laid, the first veterans moving in and the formal opening by the Countess of Wessex. With Entrain Space now established, it is the right time to withdraw. I wish Matthew and the team a successful future”.

Matthew Bell Our Wilton Trust Chief Executive “I would like to take the opportunity to thank Andrew and Alabaré for all their support in the development of Entrain Space over the last 7 years. We had many meetings, walking the site before the first brick was laid, shaping the vision.

Entrain Space came to fruition due to the efforts and support of Alabaré and our other partner agencies. A particularly poignant moment was when our first veteran moved into his new home 1 year ago. There is still work to do and early next year I hope we can start construction on the delivery of the Enterprise Hub”
