Alleluia! Christ is Risen
This is the greeting on Easter Day. Alleluia means ‘Praise’. Alabaré means ‘praise’. It comes from the song ‘I will praise my Lord’.
When Jesus met with Mary Magdalene in the Easter garden his two questions were, ‘Woman, why are you weeping? For whom are you looking?’ (John 20.15).
Jesus met Mary in her disorientation, confusion, grief, and anger. He attended directly with her immediate need and opened up the possibility of relationship.
At Alabare this is what we do for those who are currently vulnerable. The Easter faith is central to the founding and the current life of Alabaré.
Alleluia! He is Risen indeed.
