Dick Whittington Arrives In Salisbury

Dick Whittington arrives in Salisbury

Dick Whittington and the cast of our fifth annual Pantomime took to the stage of St Mark's Church Salisbury last Friday in a production written and performed by Alabaré's Happy Mondays Writing Group.  The audience were treated to a joyous evening of classic panto banter, fantastic costumes, music and dance.

Ably led by writer, narrator and Support Worker Stephen McAuliffe, the stars of the show were our Learning Disabilities service users and residents.  They were joined by volunteers and staff, including for the first time our Andrew Lord our CEO who appeared as Lord Andrew!

The cast took those of us in the audience on a technicoloured, whirlwind tour of London, Gloucestershire, the Arabian desert and back again, with plenty of cheering and booing along the way.  And as with all good stories, in the end the hero won the day!

We can't wait for next year guys!

Our thanks to St Mark's Church in Salisbury, and to all the volunteers who helped make this fantastic production possible.
