The Revd Canon David Durston was a valued Trustee of Alabaré for twenty years until he stepped down from the Board in July. During those years he took great interest in the work of the charity, regularly visiting Riverside House, getting to know staff members and ensuring that he was briefed about the current priorities and issues for Alabaré and homelessness more generally. His advice and wisdom was very much valued by staff and Trustees alike.

Alabaré Chairman Malcolm Cassells spoke warmly of David’s commitment to the charity over many years. “During David’s years as Trustee, he played an important role in the development of the charity. In particular he gave strong support and leadership to both spirituality and chaplaincy. I would like to thank David personally for the support that he has given me, particularly since I became Chairman.”

We add our grateful thanks to David for all he has done for Alabaré and wish him all the very best for the future. Our prayers go with him.
