Alabaré Launches The 5 Foodie Challenge

The 5 Foodie Challenge

Alabaré are calling all budding lockdown chefs to get involved in the #The5FoodieChallenge!

Alabaré supports thousands of homeless and vulnerable people every year. We are asking people to get involved with our new fundraiser by creating a meal from four ingredients - an onion, a pepper, tomato and cheese as well as a fifth additional ingredient of the chef’s choice. Share you culinary creations on social media using the hashtag #The5FoodieChallenge before donating £5 towards our work and tagging five friends to do the same.

Rebecca Mullen, Alabaré’s Fundraising and Development Manager said;

“The impact of the Coronavirus and lockdown measures have meant that we have had to look for new innovative ways to raise the vital funds that enable us to continue to be there for some of the most vulnerable members of society. We are hoping The Five Foodie Challenge will provide an enjoyable way for people to support our work as well as bringing friends and families closer together.”

The Coronavirus is posing a severe threat to the homeless people supported by Alabaré and has already put huge strains on the charity financially. Funds raised from The 5 Foodie Challenge will help Alabaré’s front line staff continue to provide life-saving support to homeless and vulnerable people in need.
