Homeless Winter support

In Wiltshire we have a number of services providing support and emergency accommodation this winter to people who are street homeless.

If you are aware of someone in Wiltshire who is sleeping rough or in need of emergency housing support please ask them to contact....

You can also refer a rough sleeper to Wiltshire Council by contacting roughsleeperteam@wiltshire.gov.uk 

or alternatively for emergency out of hours advice call the Wiltshire Council team on 0300 456 0100

Nationally, you can help rough sleepers receive help by registering them on the StreetLink website and providing details of where you seen them. 

Salisbury
Salisbury Street Project

Open six days per week at our Alabaré Place hostel, between the hours of 11am and 3pm for rough sleepers.  Clients will receive a free meal, washing facilities, laundry, IT, plus support and advice.  Additional support for rough sleepers is available during the drop in sessions from a Wiltshire Council Outreach Worker.

No Second Night Out*

Emergency accommodation which can be accessed via Wiltshire Council Housing Options team.

Severe Winter Emergency Provision (SWEP)*

Emergency accommodation of 10 bedspaces are available when the temperature drops below zero degrees for three consecutive nights.  This service is available by referral from Wiltshire Council Housing Options team.

Trowbridge

Accommodation for seven rough sleepers which  is open between 7pm to 9am with breakfast provided.  Our staff work with the Rough Sleeper Outreach team from Wiltshire Council to ensure that clients have access to any support that they need.

Clients must be referred through the Wiltshire Council Housing Options team.  We are not able to accept self referrals.

Emergency accommodation of six bedspaces are available when the temperature drops below zero degrees for three consecutive nights.

Chippenham
No Second Night Out*

Accommodation for an additional eight rough sleepers is available at our Unity House in Chippenham.  Referrals must be made through Wiltshire Council Housing Options team.

Severe Winter Emergency Provision (SWEP)*

Emergency accommodation for up to four rough sleepers which is available at Unity House when the temperature drops below zero degrees for three consecutive nights.  This service is available by referral from Wiltshire Council Housing Options team.
