Our Emmaus Community is a supported living service which delivers person centred support and accommodation to adults with learning disabilities. who wish to live with other people who share the Christian faith.
We provide a range of support based on individual needs and aspirations, and we are on hand to help you with all sorts of everyday tasks, like budgeting, cleaning, shopping, cooking, washing and dressing, social, cultural and leisure activities. You might have days when you just need a bit of advice, or would just like someone to talk to, we're here for you then too.
At Alabaré we love to help you pursue your goals through training, education, employment and hobbies. We offer in-house training opportunities to all of our residents, and if you're interested, we can help you pursue an NOCN award. Within the Emmaus Community the residents have access to a weekly fun and supportive faith group run by a Spiritual Development worker.
Our supported accomodation is within easy reach of the city or town centres, shops, and leisure and community services. We also have an allotment where you can have a go at growing your own vegetables.
There's always something fun going on at Alabaré, with lots of activities, like basketball and football running throughout the year. We also enjoy a few special events too; you can don your most glamourous outfit at our annual ball, or get theatrical by joining in with our yearly pantomime.
If you would like more information on the service, please get in touch, or download a copy of our project information sheet.
