Our Hampshire Homes for Veterans offer housing and support to ex-Service personnel who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. All our residents must have served in the British Armed Forces.
In Hampshire we currently have homes in Gosport and Fareham, with 20 bedspaces in supported accommodation, providing a higher level of support, and 4 bedspaces in move-on accommodation where you can live more independently while learning the skills you need to maintain your own home. Our largest Home for Veterans in Gosport, Greenwich House, has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Greenwich Hospital.
When you arrive you will be introduced to your key worker, who will work with you to agree a support plan based on your individual needs. Our team can help you to access other appropriate agencies, including counselling services, drug & alcohol agencies and support groups, CAB and NHS services wherever neccesary.
Each of our houses are within walking distance of local amenities and bus services to the town centres.
Within our Hampshire Homes for Veterans, you can access the training and skills you need for independent living, including; budgeting, healthy eating, shopping, and life skills. You can stay within our homes for a maximum of 1 year.
We will also help you when it comes to moving on to your own home. This will include supporting you to find the right home for you, and helping you with the practical tasks of setting up your new home. We can also keep in contact with you through your first few months whilst you find your feet.
In Hampshire we have a group of Mentors & Befrienders who are volunteers living in the local community, who we can link you up with, and who can help you when you are making the move from us to your next home. They are another friendly face who will help you through that next step.
We accept referrals to our Hampshire Homes for Veterans from local support agencies, The Royal British Legion, local prisons and other charities. If you think our homes could be right for you, you can also refer yourself, so please get in touch.
