This service provides accommodation in Bournemouth for Young People leaving care or who find themselves homeless. We provide a safe and supportive environment where young people can make life changes, develop responsibilities and move towards independent living. The Bournemouth Young People's service provides a total of eight bedspaces across two properties for those aged 16-25 who are either homeless or at risk of becoming so or those who have left the care system.
The service aims to help you acquire the skills you need to live in your own accommodation. You will have a keyworker who will help you put together a personal support plan, and put you in touch with other support agencies where needed. We provide tenancy training and there are also opportunities to work towards NOCN qualifications.
Within the house you will have your own room with furniture and a lockable door. Additionally there are communal areas, a shared kitchen and laundry facilities.
The service is centrally located in Bournemouth, close to local amenities. The service is just a 15 minute walk from Bournemouth City College and 30 minute bus ride from Bournemouth & Poole College. It is 30 minutes to University by bus and a 7 minute walk to the Town Centre
