At Alabaré we are passionate that those who have served our country should be supported if they fall on hard times and face homelessness.
In addition to the Supported Housing we provide through our Homes for Veterans programme, we offer specialist care and guidance to vulnerable Veterans who have served in the Royal Navy, Royal Marines or Royal Fleet Auxiliary and are over 55. This service is also available to those in receipt of a full service pension and includes those who are currently living in their own homes.
Our team are able to provide help with
- Accommodation solutions
- Signposting to health services and other agencies
- Support to access community activities or volunteering opportunities, reducing isolation
- Managing finance, including budgeting and benefit claims support
- Emotional support, and help to reconnect with friends and families
We will work with each Veteran to assess their needs and to develop an individual care plan suited to them. We can signpost to other agencies and services to make sure that each person gets the specific help that they need.

“I needed someone who understood what I was going through to help me get out of the hole I had found myself in. Alabaré’s Homes for Veterans were there for me. My life now has purpose and meaning,” Tony, Veteran.
This service has been made possible thanks to the Aged Veterans Fund funded by the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity.
