27 Mar 2020 - 28 Mar 2020
The Big Sleep welcomes those who want to take a stand against homelessness. For the first time, Alabaré is bringing the event to Woodchester Mansion. Sleep overnight inside this unique Gothic masterpiece in a secret Cotswold Valley.
Enjoy an atmospheric tour of the Mansion before bedding down for the night inside the Great Hall.
Participants pledge to raise a minimum of £100 (or £50 for children aged 14-18) for Alabaré Homes for Veterans.
An event pack containing a full kit list, sponsorship form and on the night information will be sent to participants.
Participants will be fundraising for Alabaré Homes for Veterans. Alabaré support over 300 homeless Veterans every year and have 2 homes in the Gloucestershire area which provide a warm home and support to Veterans in need.
Did you know that 726 homeless people died last year?* Your fundraising will make a huge difference to Veterans in Gloucestershire who have nowhere else to turn.
Together, we can end homelessness.

Woodchester Mansion is a Grade I listed Victorian Gothic house hidden in a beautiful Cotswold Valley. It is an unfinished masterpiece. Constructed in the 1850’s, floors and ceilings are missing, walls not plastered and windows unglazed, giving visitors a unique insight into the secrets of the Mansion.
Woodchester Mansion has been used as a set in recent TV Productions The Crown (Netflix) and His Dark Materials (BBC). The grounds were also used during WWII to train Allied troops in bridge building for the invasion of Europe after D-day.
The property is located 40 minutes from Gloucester and 60 minutes from Bristol by car.
