How your Church can support us

Founded by an ecumenical Christian Community in Salisbury, Alabaré has been working in partnership with Christians and Churches of every tradition from its earliest days through prayer, volunteers, paid staff and donations.

With projects throughout the South and West of England and Wales, Alabaré continues to transform lives, remaining true to its Christian roots; all staff and residents have access to a chaplain, have easy access to a bible or scripture and everyone is offered the chance to take part in a unique ‘life conversations’ programme to help them explore meaning, purpose and spirituality in their lives.  Our core values of care, compassion, generosity and respect are drawn from Christian tradition but are shared by all staff, whatever their faith, beliefs or background.

Alabaré keeps in touch with churches through a regular church e-newsletter. It also offers information to help churches support vulnerable or homeless people in their parishes, and provides sermon and prayer materials to bring those in need into their worship.

Alabaré provide opportunities for people within the churches to support local homes and services by nominating an Alabaré Champion who will liaise between church and charity. Hopefully this will lead to local congregations committing themselves to support Alabaré by regular prayer, supplying volunteers and making a financial commitment as part of their regular charitable giving.

Our partnership with Christians and churches, through prayer, donations and volunteering is as vital today as it was when the charity was founded over 25 years ago.  If you would like to talk to someone about ways in which your church can support Alabaré, please  contact Rebecca Mullen on or call 01722 322882/07710 306246.
