David's Story

David's Story

2020 has been a year like no other.

David faced sleeping rough during the pandemic, but we were able to offer him a home and the support he needed. David says he now wants to help others as he is so grateful for the help he was given when he thought there was no hope left.

Help us help others like David who may be facing job loss, eviction or mental health issues in a year we could never have predicted. As we head into winter, we ask for your support so we can continue to be there for those who find themselves in crisis.

Sadly due to current restrictions, Alabaré shops and Emporiums have had to temporarily close. Please continue to support us by purchasing from a small selection of Christmas gifts at our eBay Store

This year we are delighted to have produced a calendar for 2021 aptly named "This is my hope". As well as this we have a variety of Christmas cards and our fabulous "Knitting for a Change" knitting kits.

100% of the proceeds go back to support those in our care.

Tragically this winter more people are at risk of becoming homeless than ever before. As we head into winter, we are again asking for your support so that we can continue to be there for those who find themselves in crisis.

It is vital that we are there to give a home and support to those in our communities who have been left in desperate need as a result of Covid. The winter is always the hardest time of year to be homeless and this year our services are already dealing with the challenges of added restrictions causing reduced capacity in services such as our drop-in centres.

David faced sleeping rough, but we were able to give him a home and support. David says he wants to help others in our homes as he is so grateful for the help he received when he thought there was no hope left.
