Relief Support Workers

Across Alabaré we require relief staff to cover staff leave and sickness as well as any increase in hours for our clients. The work is to support clients on their journey into independent living. No personal care involved.

As a relief worker, you can choose to work for one service or be a relief member of staff across a number of services including Homelessness, Young People, and Learning Disabilities. We have services across Wiltshire and Hampshire.

Being a relief worker means you have the flexibility to work when it is suitable for you on a zero hours contract or we can guarantee a 7.5 hours per week contract, with the ability to work additional hours should you choose.  We also have sleep in’s available at the competitive rate of £70 per night and pay double time on all Bank Holidays.

Hourly rate £10.20 rising to £10.60 after a successful probation period

Website Project Officer - Based in Salisbury

We are looking to recruit someone to drive the development of a new website for the Alabaré charity, based on WordPress or similar platform.  To work with internal and external stakeholders to help scope the requirements for a new site. Thereafter work with an internal website project team and external website design agency to create a new WordPress or similar website which is future proofed for our charity’s digital needs and ambitions for the coming years.  

This is a one year fixed contract, working 20 hours per week working within Monday to Friday.

The hourly rate is £12.50 - £13.20

Senior Support Worker - Wales Veterans

Alabaré are recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to assist the Senior Service Manager with the supervision and co-ordination of the work of the service to ensure compliance with the requirements of the funder(s). In particular, to act as the primary point of contact/referral for the service, co-ordinating allocations and providing a focal point for the team to facilitate a co-ordinated approach on a day to day basis.

You will be contracted to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, however, some flexibility is required. Hourly rate of £11.50 per hour rising to £11.85 after a successful probationary period. Annual salary £22,425 - £23,107.50.  You will be required to be part of the Management On Call £100 for 7 days covered.

This role is based in Pontypridd, Wales.

Alabaré require a full time Housing Support Worker to join our team. You will need to provide person centred support to people with diverse complex needs to enable them to live independently.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of working with either homeless clients or in a supported housing environment, they will also need the right attitude, have excellent organisational skills and understand the importance of working as part of a team. Full training will be provided for the right individuals.

The aim of the service is to support individuals and enable them to meet their basic needs and assist, where appropriate and where possible, to break the cycle of homelessness. This will be achieved through advice and guidance with benefits, liaising with housing providers and signposting to other services.

We need someone who is able to work with partnership agencies, know how and when to signpost and understand the complex needs that are associated with homeless veterans.

This position calls for a flexible approach and will involve assisting the Manager to develop innovative and effective practice relating to team building, service user involvement, key working and outcome monitoring as required internally and by the funders to support veterans to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

This post is based in Ponypridd, Cardiff. You will be contracted to work 18.75 hours per week with an hourly salary of £10.20 rising to £10.60 on completion of a successful probationary period. Community Outreach Worker - Bideford

We are looking to recruit a part time Community Support Worker to work with Service Users who have recently left supported accommodation but still require support in the community. Working in conjunction with the local Council and other statutory bodies, you will assess referral suitability and support families / individuals in the community to prevent homelessness. This role is based in Bideford, North Devon.

This post is based in Trowbridge; however, you will be expected to work across Wiltshire.  Business travel will be paid at a rate of 45pence per mile. You are required to hold a full driving licence with access to a road worthy vehicle for this post.

Housing Support Workers & Waking Night Support Workers - Young People Leaving Care Service in Wiltshire and Bournemouth

We require various Housing Support Workers/Waking Night Support Workers - contracts for both full time and part time. To be based in, Chippenham, Trowbridge and Salisbury.  To provide support and guidance to our young people. Enablement Transition Officer - Alabaré Place Salisbury

We require full time Enablement Transition Officers to work in a hostel with 41 service users.  You must be able to use own initiative and have a non-judgmental attitude, you are also required to have a good sense of humour.

The role of Enablement Transition Officer is responsible for a caseload of vulnerable people who live in short-term accommodation. They will work collaboratively with other professionals, signposting when required to achieve positive health and housing outcomes. You will be responsible for delivering housing related support and assistance in order for Service users to transition into permanent accommodation by creating tailored support packages for individuals.

Your duties will include Health and Safety checks, rent collection and void management.

This service operates 7 days per week including some evening work to ensure that the needs of our clients are fully met. Experience not essential as training will be given to suitable applicants with the right attitude and work ethic

Full-time annual salary is £22,425.00 rising to £23,107.50 on completion of a successful probation period. The hourly rate is £11.50 - £11.85.

Senior Peer Support Worker - Mental Health in Wiltshire

We are looking for Senior Peer Support Workers to join our team working across Wiltshire in either Salisbury or Chippenham. This is part of a new Mental Health framework that will sit alongside and compliment those provided by primary and secondary care.

Deputy Retail Logistics Manager, Salisbury 7.5hrs per week

This role is to assist the Retail Logistics Co-ordinator in the collecting and delivery of goods from shops and customer’s houses;  you may also be required to assist with the collection of rag and rubbish from the shops and then dispose of it, in the most appropriate way ensuring that minimal amounts reach the skip.

There is an expectation that you may be required to work in one of the shops by serving customers, moving items and generally assisting the Manager and from time to time, you will be required to cover the hours of the Retail Logistics Co-ordinator.
