Supporting people who are homeless and vulnerable

We know that life isn’t always simple. We never know when we may be faced by a crisis, feel despair, or need support to live the independent life we wish for. Sometimes we just need someone to walk by our side. At Alabaré, that’s what we do.

Through our extensive network of homes, drop-in centres and support services, we offer people who are homeless and vulnerable accommodation and support so they can live a safe and positive life of their choice. If housing or wellbeing is a problem for you, take a look at what we do and get in touch to see if we can help.

What we do

We’ve been supporting people who are homeless, vulnerable or marginalised for over 30 years, empowering individuals to live a fulfilled and independent life. We do this by providing safe accommodation and helping them gain the skills and confidence they need to embrace the life they deserve.

See below for a comprehensive list of who and how we help.

Homelessness

We offer homes and support for people who are homeless or those in vulnerable situations.  This can include an immediate roof over their heads, supporting their mental health and training to help them progress and move on in any way  they choose.

Veterans

Our veteran pathway provides accommodation, training, wellbeing and support programmes to help ex-Armed Forces personnel who have struggled or faced homelessness in their civilian lives.

Take a positive step into 2024!

We know times are tough for many people right now, and more and more people are facing the crisis of being homeless, and we need to be here to help them.

Perhaps this year, you intend to take on a new challenge. While this can mean different things to different people, we have some fabulous events to consider. Be brave, step out, and make a difference for yourself and, in turn, Alabaré!

Your generosity means we can continue to welcome people off the streets – see what events we have planned so far.

Volunteer with Alabaré

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our work at Alabaré – we couldn’t do what we do without their incredible daily support and enthusiasm.

Across England and Wales, we are grateful for our wonderful volunteers who help us by supporting or running a wide range of activities in our homes, working in our shops and helping us provide extra opportunities for our clients that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to do.

If you have some time and would like to meet new people and share your skills while supporting others, it all starts with a chat…..
