Mission: To provide accommodation for six pregnant or new mothers in a safe and supportive environment, enabling them to move successfully into independent living.

South Wilts Young Mother and Baby Unit provides accommodation and support to six pregnant or new mothers (16-25 years).  It provides short-term crisis intervention, accommodation and visiting support.  Each service user is allocated a Key Worker who works with them to draw up a support plan and signposts them to other relevant agencies and professionals.  Service users also have access to our mental health worker and life skills training.

Outcomes for clients

1. Developing the life/parenting skills and confidence to move successfully into independent living
2. Building constructive and positive relationships within the community
3. Increased awareness of personal/parental responsibility around safety and security
4. Enjoying, identifying and pursuing their aspirations through training, education, employment and hobbies
5. Increased awareness around physical and mental wellbeing and better access to health services.
