Sleep Out
for
Alabaré in 2010
Alabaré's Sleep Out 2010 will be held at Salisbury Cathedral on 26th February. There will also be a number of smaller events taking place across the region. To find out more or to sign up please contact Tony Richmond on 08450 786808.

Last year on 27th February nearly 200 people braved the elements and took part in our Sleep Out to raise money for Alabaré. There were six events held across the region, raising a total of more than £30,000. The largest event was at Salisbury Cathedral and saw 126 brave campers camp down in the cloisters for the night. Other smaller scale events were held at St Thomas’ church in Salisbury, Tisbury’s Hinton Hall, St George’s Catholic Church in Warminster, Porton St Nicholas and Pip n Jays in Bristol.
The Alabaré Sleep Out follows on from Poverty and Homelessness Action Week, which focuses on ending homelessness and poverty.

The Sleep Outs are a great way to encourage people to think about what it is like to sleep rough. Although taking part will not replicate the problems faced by those who have to sleep out night after night, it does provide an opportunity to show some support and raise something toward the funds Alabaré desperately needs to continue the year round provision of our Drop In Centres.
