Rural One2one

Mission:  To reduce isolation and provide opportunities for people with an enduring mental health illness living in the more rural areas of Salisbury District to play a fuller part in the community and realise their potential.

The Rural Outreach One2one service aims to reduce isolation and improve the mental health of service users living in the more rural parts of Salisbury District. Staff and volunteers provide one2one support to service users away from their homes, helping them set short-term goals.  Service users are encouraged to take part in small social groups and activities, improving their self esteem, social skills, confidence and independence.  Support workers can also give advice on housing, benefits, education and employment.

 

City One2one

Mission:  To reduce isolation and provide opportunities for people with an enduring mental health illness to play a fuller part in the community and realise their potential.

The City Outreach One2one service aims to reduce isolation and improve the mental health of service users living in the city of Salisbury and its outskirts.  Staff and volunteers provide one2one support to service users away from their homes, helping them set short-term goals.  Service users are encouraged to take part in small social groups and activities, improving their self esteem, social skills, confidence and independence.  Support workers can also give advice on housing, benefits, education and employment.

 

Social One2one 

Mission:  To reduce rural and city isolation and encourage those with enduring mental health problems to play a fuller part in the community and realise their potential.

The Social Outreach Club aims to provide another stepping stone to further reduce rural and city isolation.  It also aims to further improve the mental health of service users and better prepare them to undertake life skills training, further education and work opportunities.  Service users are encouraged to take part in small group activities with a social club that meets every week, improving their social skills and enabling them to meet new people.  They can also get information on skills training, further education and work opportunities and other appropriate services and agencies.

Outcomes for clients:

  1. Feeling less isolated
  2. Improved self esteem, confidence and independence
  3. Increased access to other services and agencies
  4. Improved access to further education, other learning/training and employment opportunities
  5. Realising their full potential and playing a fuller part in the community
