Marking the centenary year of the start of World War One, on Saturday 10th May some of our residents at The Orchards, our young people’s home in Devizes, hosted a WW1 History Roadshow.  Intermittent showers didn’t dampen spirits, as guests enjoyed an emotive display of artefacts and memorabilia from the war. Not only were minds filled with thoughts of life on the front line, and the bravery of so many, but our guest’s tummy’s were also kept topped up thanks to the fabulous barbecue lunch on offer as well.

Some of our young people taking part in our Youth Music programme at The Junction performed an original song about the World War One and read poetry by Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen.

Thank you to everyone who came along and share this exciting event with our residents, and a huge thank you to our young people for being such diligent hosts.
