Remember A Charity Week

Alabaré are proudly supporting Remember A Charity week which takes place  from 11th-17th September. The week highlights the importance of gifts in Wills to charities like Alabaré.

 Andrew Lord, CEO of Alabaré;

“Legacies are vital to our very survival, a fact that most of our supporters don’t realise. Leaving a legacy to Alabaré could help people like Colin who was street homeless for 8 months before he was signposted to Alabaré.”

 Colin explained;

“Alabaré have been fantastic. I lost my wife, my home and I had lost all hope but Alabaré helped me get my life back on track. Without them I wouldn’t be here today.”

With 35% of people saying they would consider including a gift to charity after providing for their family and friends in their Will, and only 7% doing so, there is huge potential to increase income from legacies.

 Elizabeth Webbe partner at Trethowans Solicitors and Alabaré Ambassador;

“Leaving a legacy costs nothing during your lifetime but will have a powerful impact for years to come. If you are planning to update your Will, whether it be to add a charitable legacy or update the one you currently have, always seek professional advice from an expert. Charities like Alabaré need your help to continue the work they do well into the future.”
