New Senior Chaplain for Alabaré
Charity Alabaré Christian Care & Support are delighted to announce the appointment of their new Senior Chaplain, Canon Jonathan Martin. Canon Jonathan brings with him a wealth of experience in both local ministry and community work, having been Minister at Parkstone and Longfleet URCs, and Executive Director or RSR (a Royal Navy Charity known as Aggie’s which provides lay staff for Naval Chaplaincy and debt counselling) amongst other roles. He will be supporting Alabaré’s teams in their work with disadvantaged and vulnerable people across the South West and leading a team of volunteer Chaplains.
“My hope for my first year with Alabaré is to meet our staff and service users and understand the challenges we all face. I also wish to discern with all our stakeholders how we develop our existing volunteer chaplaincy network, and how we resource them,” says Canon Jonathan.
Canon Jonathan has been married to Sue for 30 years and they have four children.
