Visit to Wells Cathedral
Residents from our supported housing in North Somerset went on a trip to Wells Cathedral. St Paul's Church in Weston Super Mare and Danny, a support worker at the house, worked together to make sure that the trip was a success. 'It was an opportunity for the residents to meet new people and to feel part of the community of Weston and of course to enjoy tea and scones!'
The group met at St Paul's Church in Weston Super Mare where they travelled on to the cathedral. The whole group really enjoyed their day finding the tour of the building fascinating. Mitchell, one of the residents particularity enjoyed the stone architecture and Paul loved listening to the organ and the way its sound resonated around the cathedral.
All at our Weston Super Mare home would like to send a big thank you to the staff at St Paul's who worked with us to make the trip so enjoyable.
A Special Thanks!
We really could not do our work without organisations like ABF The Soldiers' Charity. This month we have been awarded £140,000 from ABF. This money is fundamental in our work to help and support Veterans in need - making a difference!
