Churchlink December 2015

Dear Friend,

Thank you so much to those who have already responded to our Christmas Appeal, or told us that they will be considering supporting Alabaré at their next Church Council Meeting.  It is encouraging to realise the depth of support for us among Churches and people of Faith.

Advent is a time of looking forward – not only to Christmas and the joy that it can bring (in our families as well as through our Faith) – but to our life and world beyond that.

Our relationship with churches, both regionally and nationally, is vital to us and those that we support, so we would like to ensure that this newsletter and any supporting materials we offer, is really what you need and want.  Local church support helped launch Alabaré nearly 25 years ago and a large proportion of our voluntary funding comes from their continued and  generous support.  As a Christian Charity, every service has access to a chaplain; faith continues to be at the heart of what we do and the values that we bring to our work.

With that in mind, we’d like to take this opportunity to refresh our Churchlink Newsletter and review the support that we offer to and receive from the wider Church community.

We want to continue and improve that partnership, so we would be extremely grateful if you could fill in this short survey and let us know how we can better improve our links with you.  If you have any questions, thoughts or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me, my email address is m.field@alabare.co.uk

While Churchlink  undergoes its revamp, we would still like to keep you up to date with our work and achievements.  To find out what has been happening across the organisation in the run up to Christmas, please read December’s newsletter

There is much in the news to remind us that we live in troubled times – but Alabaré continues to offer Christian hope to help those who come to us to deal with their troubles and get their lives back on track.  Thank you for your support.

With very best wishes for a blessed Christmas and a peaceful and healthy New Year.

Martin
