New Partnership with First Choice Housing Association

We are delighted to announce that we have signed a partnership agreement with First Choice Housing Association (FCHA). We will be working in partnership with them across our Wales Homes for Veterans initiative. FCHA are a well respected housing association operating across Wales since 1988. It’s great to have them on board with Alabaré! Our first home for veterans in Wales is due to open in Pontypridd this summer.

Community4 Support Tidworth Family

Jonathan was living in Tidworth, in Army accommodation, with his wife and two young children. He had served in the British Army for ten years and had served in various tours overseas including; Northern Ireland and Afghanistan. He was made redundant 18 months ago. Since then he had run up large rental arrears and was due to be evicted from his home. Click here to read his full story.

Shane Complete's his Prince's Trust Training

Shane, a resident at Towpath House, has completed his Princes Trust Training Course. He was 17 years old when he started, unemployed and had no direction. During the 12 week course he participated in group planning, fundraising, community building, volunteering and a work placement, which he passed with flying colours. He also helped to build a sensory garden with other young people on the course. All of the materials used in the garden were bought with funds raised from appeals and supermarket bag packing. Congratulations Shane, we’re all proud of the effort you’ve put in!

Barford Photography Group

Our Barford photography group have been producing some fantastic shots over the last month. The ‘Clickers’ group have been working on their composition, and have created some really imaginative displays. Take a look at the photo gallery to see some of their great work.
