Andrew House: FA Training
For the second year running, residents from Andrew House have been chosen to take part in Homeless FA Training. Four of our guys will be showing off their skills on the football field with the goal of being chosen to represent Homeless Team England in the Homeless World Cup, which will take place in Santiago, Chile this October.
The training doesn’t just focus on your skills as a striker or how many goals you can keep out of the net: it’s all about “promoting fair play and inclusiveness within the context of football”. Our lads will receive their football training from Bristol City FC coaching staff. They’ll also receive the VIP player’s experience, which includes their own training kit, behind the scenes access to the club, a certificate of participation to take home with them, and a ‘hero’ portrait taken in their team kit as a souvenir of the experience.
Aside from Bristol City FA, other 2014 training centre partners include; Arsenal, Aston Villa, Brighton and Hove Albion, Derby County, Fulham, Hull City, Manchester United, Norwich City and Sunderland. Click here to find out more about the Homeless FA.
Good luck to all the guys at Andrew House – who knows, we might be on your way to taking part in the 2014 Homeless World Cup event!
