Our Wiltshire Home for Veterans offers housing and support to ex-Service personnel who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. All our residents must have served in the British Armed Forces.
The homes in Salisbury provide accommodation for up to 14 people at any one time. We can vary the levels of support we give you to help you through more difficult times, but also provide less support so you can live more independently to help you gain the skills you will need to maintain your next home.
When you arrive you will be introduced to your key worker, who will work with you to agree a support plan based on your individual needs. Our team can help you to access other appropriate agencies, including counselling services, drug & alcohol agencies and support groups, CAB and NHS services wherever neccesary.
Each of our houses are within walking distance of local amenities and bus services to Salisbury City centre. There are gyms, cinemas and leisure centres nearby.
Within our Wiltshire Home for Veterans, you can access the training and skills you need for independent living, including; budgeting, healthy eating, shopping, and life skills. Training courses are also available through the local Learn Direct centre.
We will also help you when it comes to moving on to your own home. This will include supporting you to find the right home for you, and helping you with the practical tasks of setting up your new home. We can also keep in contact with you through your first few months whilst you find your feet.
We accept referrals from local support agencies, The Royal British Legion, local prisons and other charities. If you think our home could be right for you, you can also refer yourself, so please get in touch.
If you would like more information, please get in touch, or download the information sheet on this page.
