Our Bristol Homes for Veterans offer housing and support to ex-Service personnel who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. All our residents must have served in the British Armed Forces.
We currently run two homes in Bristol, providing accommodation for up to eight Veterans.
When you arrive you will be introduced to your key worker, who will work with you to agree a support plan based on your individual needs. Our team can help you to access other appropriate agencies, including counselling services, drug & alcohol agencies and support groups, CAB and NHS services wherever neccesary.
Each of our houses are within walking distance of local amenities and bus services to the City centre. There are gyms, cinemas and bowling alleys nearby.
Within our Bristol Homes for Veterans, you can access the training and skills you need for independent living, including; budgeting, healthy eating, shopping, and life skills. Training courses are also available through the local Learn Direct centre. You can stay within our homes for a maximum of 1 year.
We will also help you when it comes to moving on to your own home. This will include supporting you to find the right home for you, and helping you with the practical tasks of setting up your new home. We can also keep in contact with you through your first few months whilst you find your feet.
In Bristol we have a group of Mentors & Befrienders who are volunteers living in the local community, who we can link you up with, and who can help you when you are making the move from us to your next home. They are another friendly face who will stand by you as you take that next step.
We accept referral to our Bristol Homes for Veterans from local support agencies, and other charities. If you think our homes could be right for you, you can also refer yourself, so please get in touch.
If you would like more information on our homes, please get in touch, or download a copy of our project information sheet.
