- Opportunity to generate postive PR
- Increased brand awareness
- Networking opportunities
There are a number of ways that you can help make a difference at Alabaré.....
- Payroll giving
Payroll giving is an easy and tax efficient way of giving regularly to Alabaré. Because it is taken from your pay before tax is deducted, the entire pound you pledge will come to us. That's worth 22p more to us - or 40p more if you are a higher rate taxpayer. If you are interested in giving to us this way, please email fundraising@alabare.co.uk for more information.
We realise that often it is not possible for companies to make monetary donations to Alabaré. Donations of products and services which are sometimes easier for companies to give as just as valuable to our charity. Donations may be practical items for any of our houses or drop in centres, or may be items or services that will help us at our fundraising events. If you have products that would assist our clients or fundraising activities, we would really like to hear from you. Please call us on 08450 78 68 08 or email fundraising@alabare.co.uk.
- Gift in shares
Since the new "Gift-Aid" measures were introduced in April 2000 you can now get extra tax relief by donating shares and securities to charity. This means that if you donate shares or securities to Alabaré you will be able to claim a deduction in your income for the tax year in which the donation takes place. You can reclaim the tax relief at your top rate of tax on your self-assessment form. Your accountant will be able to provide you with more information.
The Inland Revenue's leaflet IR178 will give you more information on donating shares or securities to charity or go to www.hmrc.gov.uk.
