Mission: To provide accommodation for nine vulnerable women in a supportive, stimulating and safe environment enabling them to make life changes and develop so that they are able to move into successful independent living.
Barnabas House is a Supported Housing project for vulnerable women. It is a large semi-detached house close to the city centre and offers a safe, homely environment with 24-hour support to nine women. The women, who are often dealing with a range of complex issues including mental health problems, domestic abuse and homelessness, can stay for a maximum of two years. Each client is assigned a Key Worker who will help them draw up a Personal Development Plan based on their individual needs. Their Key Worker will also signpost them to other appropriate services and agencies and enable them to access to our Mental Health Worker and Counselling service, Social Workers, health services and solicitors. Staff can also provide basic life skills training if necessary.
When clients are ready to move on they will receive Resettlement Support
