Mission:  To provide accommodation and support to 11 men recovering from drug and alcohol dependency, enabling them to move into independent living.

Andrew House is a Supported Housing project in the seaside town of Clevedon, North Somerset for men recovering from drug and alcohol dependency.  It can take up to 11 men, aged between 18 and 60, who have completed a rehabilitation programme but feel they need further support before they move on to independent living. Each service user has a single room with their own washing facilities, but they share kitchens and large community rooms.  Members of staff offer expertise and support in a number of areas including drug and alcohol work, housing matters, finances and mental health issues and will signpost service users to other appropriate services and agencies.  They also provide service users with basic life skills training where necessary.

Outcomes for clients:

  1. Maintained abstinence
  2. Budgeting skills
  3. Ability to manage their tenancy and home
  4. Improved social skills for maintaining a healthy support network
  5. Gaining skills for employment and education
