Since their foundation in November 2012 by our CEO Andrew Lord, over 70 Alabaré INSPIRE awards have been awarded to clients, volunteers and staff for outstanding contributions to our work.
Every day in our Homes and Services, staff, volunteers and clients continue to INSPIRE us. Their efforts and selfless contributions to Alabaré and your communities are the very reason the INSPIRE awards were created.
Our charity is passionate about recognising the huge commitment that people make towards our goals, and the help that we give to each other in our organisation.
If you would like to nominate a fellow team, individual or someone living in your home or using your service, then we would love to hear from you. You can download the nomination form here or get in touch to find out more.
Ray is a service user at Wiltshire Home for Veterans. He has supported other Service Users in the house including a fellow Veteran, Peter, who recently passed away. After Peter's passing, Ray helped us handle Peter’s belongings and ensured his room was all clean and tidy ready for someone new to move in. As well as supporting others within the home, Ray also regulary gardens to ensure our other Service Users have a pleasant outdoor area to enjoy. Furthermore, when Alabaré set up their new home, Peter House, Ray supported our staff by completing DIY tasks. On top of all this, Ray also took part in the Alabaré annual Salisbury Sleep Out and raised £220.00, a sum that supported our Homelessness Drop In Centres in Wiltshire. For all his hard work, Alabaré awarded Ray with an Inspire award this month.
