Charis House, Wemouth provides supported housing for homeless men with drug or alcohol related issues.
Mission: To provide accommodation and support to 6 homeless men recovering from drug and alcohol dependency, enabling them to move into independent living.
Charis House is a Supported housing project for homeless men in Weymouth. It can take up to 6 men aged over 25, who have shown commitment to abstinence but feel they need further support before they move on to independent living. Each service user has their own single room, and takes it in turns to cook an evening meal for the others. Members of staff offer expertise and support in a number of areas including drug and alcohol work, housing matters, budgeting and mental health issues. This project is funded by Supporting People Dorset.
